About
The archive behind the garments
ashop99 is an experimental museum you can live inโwhere material science, restraint, and craft become wearable exhibits.
Method
Built like an instrument
We build garments the way labs build instruments: with patience, measurement, and respect for the material.
In our hands, silk is not simply softโit is tensile behavior, luster geometry, and the quiet discipline of weave. Vegan leather is not a substituteโit is engineered surface, abrasion logic, and a controlled response to light. Every seam is a decision. Every edge is tested. We study how a fabric drapes, how it resists, how it ages, and what it reveals after wear.
We donโt chase noise. We curate. We archive. We refine.
ashop99
ashop99 is an experimental museum you can live in. Each piece is an exhibitโcataloged, documented, and released with intent. We trace origin, note process, and preserve the small proofs of craft: the hand that finished a hem, the density of a knit, the temperature of a press.
Enter when youโre ready to look closerโat construction, at chemistry, at the invisible work that turns matter into form.
Materials, documented
Each release is accompanied by clear notes: composition, origin, and the decisions that shape silhouette and wear.
We treat texture as dataโhow it catches light, how it moves, and how it changes over time. The result is a wardrobe built on evidence, not excess.
Collector notes
Short impressions from clients who wear the archive as intended: quietly, repeatedly, and with attention.

โThe construction reads like architectureโclean edges, disciplined weight, and a finish that holds up under scrutiny.โ

โThe material notes made the purchase feel precise. What arrived matched the recordโdown to the hand feel and sheen.โ

โMinimal, but not simple. You can see the decisions in every seam.โ
